We use only the highest quality silicone available for our products. We also have our products tested and certified for food safety by a specialized laboratory.<\/p>\n

What is possible with silicone is that it sometimes picks up odors from the food that linger. However, this does not affect its use: you can continue to use the Yummy Tray to keep liquids or food safe and fresh.<\/p>\n

To avoid odors as much as possible, we recommend washing our products immediately after use with water and soap, or in the dishwasher. Since most dishwashers use a vinegar-based rinse aid, this usually helps to prevent odors.<\/p>\n

The smell of stored breast milk can sometimes be very strong, and not always pleasant. If you notice an odor, you can use one of the following methods:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Make a mixture of vinegar mixed with baking soda, ratio 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Apply this mixture to the Yummy Tray and let it sit overnight. Then rinse it out as usual.<\/li>\n
  • Heat the oven to 200 degrees and place the tray on a plate in the oven (without lid). Set a timer for 30 minutes and check every 10 minutes to make sure the smell is gone. Repeat until the smell is gone.<\/li>\n
  • Wash the tray (without lid) one or more times in the dishwasher on a higher temperature program (60\u00b0 Celsius), using a vinegar-based rinse aid.<\/li>\n
  • Place the tray (without lid) in boiling water with white vinegar in the ratio of 1 cup of vinegar for every two cups of water. Let it soak for 45 minutes and then gently scrub it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
